Homemade Bubble Solution - Hours of Fun!

By Jennifer Ercoli - Publisher Macaroni Kid Lafayette May 21, 2020

Bubbles are a staple of a happy childhood. Have you ever met someone who said, "I don't like blowing bubbles?" Me either, and if by chance you do meet a person that says that you should probably walk the other way, lol. In the past year we have brought a kiddie pool of bubble solution and wands to almost every event we attend for the public to use. And it is ALWAYS a huge hit. And sometimes I put the same set up in my front yard for my children and their friends to enjoy. It is so easy, so simple and so much fun! Below is how to have the fun at your own home!

What you need:

  • Kiddie/Baby Pool or other large container
  • 6 cups of water
  • 1 cup of dish soap (do not buy Ulta Dawn)
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • Bubble wands, gloves, hula hoops *your basic bubble forming tools*

Simply mix the water and dish soap with a wand and slowly pour in the corn syrup and mix it up. Then use the tools to make bubbles. Fun four hours! Encourage the kids to use their imagination on what tools can make bubbles. Mine had some success with a tennis and racket ball rackets. You can even tie a string on the end of two poles and make enormous bubbles.
