We are always up to new and exciting ventures here at Macaroni Kid Lafayette and 2019 will not be the exception. We are kicking our event season off with a shooting competition at the Cajundome taking place just hours before the Ragin Cajun Boys Basketball team takes the court to battle it out with Georgia State. This is truly a night of fun for the whole family that will be sure to make lasting memories! And to top that off you will be supporting your local colleges athletic department.
You and your child must have a ticket to enter and participate. Discounted tickets are being sold for only $8 which gives you access to the competition and the game! There will also be additional vendors providing activities for the kids in between their shooting rounds.
There will be three groups of shooters: K5 - 2nd, 3rd-5th, and 6th-8th grade. High school students are not eligible to participate. Each child is guaranteed two shooting rounds which will include free throws and around the world. Depending on the amount of participants there may be more rounds. The two highest scoring participants in each group will finish their competition for first place on the Cajundome floor during half time of the game. Each first place winner will receive the VIP Experience for the next home basketball game vs. ULM on 2/16 and an autographed ball from Coach Marlin. The VIP Experience includes tickets for the winner and their family, a pre-game tour, and they will be invited to participate in the game day promotional activities which can include player high fives, the Sonic Shoot-Out and/or becoming the pregame ball kid. Every child who participates will receive a free poster and one free ticket to the UL vs ULM game on 2/16.
