Description
The Opelousas Imperial Mardi Gras Association celebrates, promotes, and facilitates cultural and heritage activities in Opelousas during and leading up to the Mardi Gras season by participating in and hosting a Mardi Gras Ball and Parade which are open to the public. The Association's profits go towards charitable organizations in the Opelousas-St. Landry Parish area.
The Parade will begin on East Landry St. (US 190 Westbound) at the intersection of Landry St. & Academy St. The parade will proceed west on Landry Street until it intersects with Liberty Street. The parade will then make a right turn on Liberty Street headed north until it intersects with a Grolee Street. The parade will then make a right turn on Grolee Street headed east until it reaches Waillior St. where the parade will disband at Tiger Trax Exxon.
