Seats Filling Fast at St. Landry Parish’s French Immersion Public Charter School
WHAT:
Open enrollment is now underway for École Saint-Landry’s fifth year, and seats are being filled on a first-come, first-served basis. As with all public schools, École Saint-Landry is free of charge to admitted students, and free bus transportation is available to all students. École Saint-Landry, one of only four full French immersion schools in Louisiana, prepares students in the Acadiana region to be academically proficient, bilingual, and globally competent. École Saint-Landry is proud to offer a rigorous academic program rooted in French immersion, with a strong emphasis on literacy, math, the arts, and cultural competency. Students consistently perform above state averages on benchmark assessments, and the school’s nurturing, multilingual environment supports both high achievement and whole-child development.
Currently, fewer than 10 seats remain in kindergarten and approximately a dozen remain in first grade. Families are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. For students entering grades 2 and above, certain prerequisites must be met in order to transfer. Contact the school directly for more information.

École Saint-Landry, a public charter school authorized by St. Landry Parish Schools, will serve students in Kindergarten through 5th grade for the 2025–2026 school year.
