Unlock Creativity This Summer with AIE’s Game Design Summer Camps

The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) is offering an exciting lineup of summer camps in Lafayette, designed for students aged 12–18 interested in exploring the worlds of video game development, 3D animation, and digital art. These hands-on, project-based camps provide an excellent opportunity to delve into industry-standard tools and techniques, culminating in a tangible project to showcase.

Summer Camp Offerings

AIE’s summer camps are structured as one-week sessions, running Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with an optional extended work period until 5:00 PM. Each camp concludes with a celebratory pizza party and provides students with a certificate of achievement and a copy of their project.

Arcade Classics: Intro to 2D Game Creation
Dive into the basics of video game programming and create your own 2D game using industry-standard software.

To Topology and Beyond: Intro to 3D Modeling
Learn the fundamentals of 3D modeling and bring your creative ideas to life in a digital space.

Moving Polygons: Intro to 3D Animation 
Explore the world of 3D animation and develop skills to animate characters and objects.

Moving with Depth: Intro to 3D Game Creation
Utilize the Unity game engine to design and develop simple 3D games, gaining insight into game development processes.
