Located now at 205 Stewart St, this vibrant arts and crafts thrift store continues its mission of promoting environmental consciousness through creativity. Deuxième Vie (2nd life) provides a 2nd life to items that may have otherwise ended up in a landfill in Acadiana.
### A Hub for Artistic Expression
Stepping into the new space, visitors will discover a wealth of opportunities, including a dedicated workshop area where local artists lead diverse classes like paper making, journaling, and metal clay jewelry. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned artist, there's something here for everyone. The expanded location allows Deuxième Vie Creative to provide members with access to an assortment of art tools, fostering an environment where creativity can truly flourish without the need for costly investments.
### Innovative Facilities for Everyone
One of the most exciting additions is the fully furnished darkroom available for black & white film processing and printmaking. Starting May 15th, workshops will guide participants through the basics of analog camera usage, inviting everyone to explore the beauty of traditional photography. The communal studio space supports collaboration; a convenient app allows members to schedule time and engage in discussions that spark inspiration.
