One beautiful farmer’s market morning, Charlotte and Mamie crossed paths as strangers but left Moncus as friends. As dreams were shared about our children’s education, we realized an alignment in our vision that seemed more than just serendipitous. C’est La Joie was born from the hearts of 2 moms seeking to find the best of homeschool, French Immersion, and private education.
C’est La Joie is an early education enrichment program designed to enrich the lives of 3-5 year olds with highly joyful school experiences. We believe that by associating joy with a child’s earliest perceptions of schooling, both the student and the family are better equipped for a lifetime of wonder-seeking.
Students spend their school days in an unhurried pace with thematic lessons incorporating creativity, ingenuity and loads of movement. Most of our time is spent outdoors, allowing children much opportunity for astute observations. We daily incorporate fine motor work, concentration-building, kindness towards others and animals, as well as thoughtfully curated stations to reinforce our thematic learning. All of this is done in French, affording the child the immense privilege of learning at an age most advantageous for language acquisition.

In addition to Summer camps, our school year program offers 4 day, 3 day and 2 day options. Our morning session runs from 8:00-11am. Our afternoon group is from 12-3pm. In our experience, 3 hours is the sweet spot for this age. It allows us concentrated time to guide students through maximum learning with minimum transitions.
C’est La Joie translates as “It’s a joy!”
