Hilliard Art Museum Unveils 'Every / Where: Beili Liu' Exhibition

Showcasing Acclaimed Artist's Landmark Installations

WHAT: 

The Hilliard Art Museum proudly debuts the exhibition Every / Where: Beili Liu on Saturday, February 24. Beili Liu creates site-specific installations in response to landscapes and their intersections with the social and cultural. The exhibition Every / Where will feature one of her early works and a more recent installation created as part of her Fulbright Arctic Chair Scholarship, a prestigious appointment given to one U.S. scholar annually. She is the Leslie Waggener Professor in the College of Fine Arts at The University of Texas at Austin.


Proceeding the opening of the exhibit, on Friday, February 23 the public is invited to attend Creative Conversation with Beili Liu. In a gallery talk format, Beili Liu will reveal her new exhibition and discuss her career and studio practice. This exhibition focuses on how humans interact with water and features work created during Liu’s residency at the Joan Mitchell Center, as well as while she was a Fulbright Fellowship Chair in the Arctic Circle.

Art enthusiasts, cultural connoisseurs, and the general community at large are invited to immerse themselves in the vibrant tapestry of Rodrigue's artistic brilliance at the Hilliard Art Museum. This event is free to Hilliard members, as well as UL students and faculty. Attendance is included in general admission for all others.

The Hilliard Art Museum is located at 710 E. Saint Mary Blvd. on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
