Everything You Need to Know About Festivals Acadiens et Créoles 2023

October 5, 2023

Festivals Acadiens et Créoles has a little bit of something for everyone. Our 2023 Quick Guide shows festival goers where to park, what to watch in the Sports Tent, who's playing the October Legacy Series, and includes information about cashless sales, the Bayou Food Festival, Louisiana Crafts Fair and more.

Festival Kickoff at Feed and Seed: If you can’t wait until Oct. 13-15 for the music at Girard Park, the Legacy Series will kick off Festivals Acadiens et Créoles at the Feed & Seed (106 N. Grant St.) on Fri., Oct. 6, from 5-10 p.m. October's legend spotlight is Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys with special guests Wayne Toups and Geno Delafose.

Parking: We will not have a shuttle running from Cajun Field during the festival this year, so attendees are encouraged to park in lots along Brooks Street, Johnston Street and St. Mary Boulevard, parking garages on Girard Park Circle and in the Oil Center. A map is included in Pocket Guide which can be found at festivalsacadiens.com.

Sports Tent: For those wanting to watch their favorite team play while listening to their favorite band, our Sports Tent is the place to be. We will be airing Louisiana State University versus the Auburn University on Saturday and the New Orleans Saints versus the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Festival Goers should also note that instead of paper tickets, we will be going cashless at all beverage locations this year. This includes water, soda, beer, and cocktail sales. We ask that everyone plan accordingly so they can stay hydrated all weekend long.

Festivals Acadiens et Créoles cannot happen without volunteers. We have spots for everything from setup to recycling, drink, pin and merchandise sales, and more.
