Artist Quote: “I am honored to be the 2023 visual artist for Festivals Acadiens et Créole and to help portray the celebration of Zydeco icon Clifton Chenier and Lafayette Parish’s Bicentennial celebration. I poured myself into capturing Clifton’s energy and the electric atmosphere that his music world would create. And I am so happy that my painting is now a part of the festival's history and that I have a connection to Clifton’s legacy and that of Acadiana.” — Jeromy Young
