Local father-daughter business owners, Cal and Heather Pitts, are celebrating the 5th anniversary of their Firehouse Subs restaurant in Carencro this Saturday, October 8th.
- On Saturday, October 8th, the Evangeline Carencro Firehouse Subs is offering a FREE medium sub to all first responders, either in uniform or with a valid ID.
- Future heroes are welcome to join too! Kids are invited to dress up as their favorite first responder to receive a FREE kids meal – and the chance to get a picture with the Carencro Fire Truck!
- The Carencro Fire Department will be at the restaurant from 11am - 2pm, offering kids the chance to meet their local heroes and take pictures in front of the truck.
- The restaurant is located at 3900 NE Evangeline Hwy Ste 103 and is open from 10am - 9pm every day. Guests can stop by anytime during these hours on October 8th to join the festivities.
The Carencro Firehouse Subs was originally opened by three retired Lafayette FD firefighters looking for another way to support their community. The Pitts are still close friends with the original owners – Terry Castille, Jay Castille and Donny Chauvin – who dedicated more than 80 years total to the Lafayette Fire Department before opening the local Firehouse Subs.
With National First Responders Day coming up on October 28th - as well as the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation's biggest annual fundraiser, First Responders Month, going on throughout October - the Pitts thought embracing their roots on both a brand and local level would be the perfect way to celebrate 5 years of community support.
Cal and Heather are both dedicated to sharing the brand’s commitment to giving back through Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which has granted more than $1.3 Million to public safety organizations in Louisiana, including the City of Carencro Police Department, Lafayette Police Department and Scott Fire Department. The duo owns four Firehouse Subs restaurants in the area, with other locations in New Iberia, Lafayette and Alexandria, and another opening soon in Pineville.
