A couple of months ago I stumbled upon a new business that I knew I had to check out! Glamp It Up looked like the perfect way to make my daughter's tenth birthday celebration all she wanted and more. I wasn't wrong either. When I pulled up the website to show her what they offer and the options she could choose from she lit up. It only took her a few minutes to pick the Dream Catcher set up. She is to the point in her childhood where her besties are all that matters and that number is never larger than three. This setup was perfect for them!

Although she knew what she was coming home to (in our backyard) the excitement of it being there and ready for her and her friends to camp out in was intense. We took them out for hibachi and returned home. I have to tell you all because we all make mistakes, I filmed the whole event of the girls first seeing it and running in only to realize later when I went back to watch it, it wasn't recorded! You know my heart sank because I wanted to share that moment with all of you but recreating it just wouldn't have been the same. Just this one time you will have to take my word for it and then maybe when you book a glamping tent for your child you can share the video with me!
So the night went on with much glee. Glamp It Up also provided the projector and screen and the girls couldn't wait to see the new minion movie, The Rise of Gru, which was easy to rent from Redbox online. They adored the setup so much that they didn't want to mess it up and watched the movie mostly on the ground. Glamp It Up also provided a fun disco light and the girls twirled and danced for a long time in it while laughing and giggling. It was truly the sound of magic, you know the sound you swear you're never going to forget because it's pure happiness. So between the dancing, candy, giggling, movie watching, and story-telling they were out by 11. Not too bad for a birthday party sleepover in my opinion.
The next morning the cuteness continued. I was worried the night before that a sudden rainstorm would come because we do live in South Louisiana after all, so I moved all the outside decor under the back porch. The girls woke up, made their beds, put all of the decor back up, and started to watch funny videos from the laptop on the projector screen. I couldn't believe they made the beds! They don't do this with their own beds. I think it's important to mention at this point that the tent is air-conditioned. Otherwise, none of this would have been possible but it stayed so cool overnight the girls turned off the ac and turned it back on in the morning. The only thing left to do at this point was to serve them breakfast in the tent which was highly favored. To be honest, Riley Mae might ask for this same setup next year!
Glamping is definitely a great option for any special occasion and we will certainly do it again with Glamp It Up. Their customer service was impeccable. We booked everything through email and the owner, Andrea, answered all of my questions. She told me exactly when they would be at my home to set up and when they would come to break it down. The process was simple and flawless.
Do you know what else glamping is awesome for? Date nights and anniversaries! They have a king-size elevated bed option specifically for these occasions. Check it out here!
