Vermilionville Summer Camp 2022

April 27, 2022

This Summer, Vermilionville will be hosting our 12th Annual Summer Camp Series in both

English and French. Each week is custom-crafted for the age group and language to provide

skill-level appropriate demonstrations and hands-on craft opportunities for your camper!

This summer camp is designed for children between the ages 5-12.  Throughout the week,

campers will learn about the many things that make Acadiana so unique, with activities ranging

from historic arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, foodways and more. Each day, campers will

partake in hands-on projects that they will take home with them at the end of the week. We’ll

do some favorites from past years, such as blacksmithing and tomahawk throwing, as well as

lots of exciting, new activities! Campers record their activities and journeys each day in their

very own handmade journal.

Camp dates for 2022 are as follows:

Week 1: English; Ages 5-8: June 20 – June 24

Week 2: English; Ages 9-12: June 27 – July 1

Week 3: French; Ages 5-8: July 11 – 15

Week 4: French; Ages 9-12: July 18 – 22

All campers are required to have completed kindergarten or a home-school equivalent. Camp

will start every morning at 8:45 AM (morning drop-off begins at 8:30 AM) and end at 4 PM.

Friday we will finish at 1:30 PM, following the family lunch and end of camp ceremony. We will

also provide the campers with breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack from our restaurant, La

Cuisine de Maman.

Registration covers all materials associated with hands-on crafts, as well as all activities, food,

the Vermilionville camp T-shirt, and a water bottle. The total cost for each week is $250 per

camper. Additional siblings who register for camp will receive a $50 discount off the final

balance. There is a required minimum registration deposit of $100.

If your child has any dietary restrictions, please indicate this on the registration form. We

recommend that campers wear comfortable clothes and bring a beach towel, mosquito

repellent, sunscreen, a hat and a change of clothes.
