In 2016 Love of People non-profit set out to, in the words of Ms. Carol Fran, “Give me my
flowers while I am still here,” and create the Blue Monday Mission. Our Mission is to provide
Quality of Life for aging and retired musicians and artists throughout Acadiana. With the
support of many, we were able to fulfill our commitment to Carol Fran, Warren Storm, and Lil
Buck Senegal. Along with introducing the younger generation to the trailblazers that created
our Acadiana culture, we created the opportunity for our Legends to witness the impact their
lives had on the community.
Now that they are gone, Blue Monday Mission is committed to ensuring that the next
generation not only remembers their music but will learn from the life lessons they shared with
us through our Art of Business initiative. The Art of Business initiative is designed to implement
business acumen within the creative economy. By partnering with local private businesses, we
will achieve our goals in providing support service infrastructures designed to provide
sustainability, professional development, and retirement benefits for those that continue to
dedicate their lives to our culture and traditions.

This will be an evening celebrating the Lives and Lessons of Carol Fran, Warren Storm and Lil Buck Senegal. Join Love of People
and Blue Monday Mission as we bring Acadiana’s Legendary Musicians together to honor the Legacies of their mentors.
