Zookeeper Camp with Schoolhouse Safari

By Jennifer Ercoli - Publisher Macaroni Kid Lafayette March 31, 2021

This year Schoolhouse Safari will be hosting Zookeeper Camp in the heart of Lafayette at Wonderland Performing Arts. Each day will include hands-on educational fun interactions with exotic birds, snakes, small mammals, lizards and tortoises in the afternoon and a special focus each morning on a specific group of critters.

Monday will be insect day with special guest The Beetle-Experience, Tuesday Reptile Day, Wednesday Bird Day, Thursday Mammal Day and Friday our Zookeeper Day with a special focus on what it takes to work day to day with a large variety of animals.

Each day will have a lunch break from12-1 which the parents can visit with their child or take him/her to lunch or for an extra $10, Schoolhouse Safari will provide a nutritious lunch for your child. You are not required to visit or pick up your child during this time, as our staff will be there to provide supervision and fun during their lunch break. Children are also given the option to bring their lunch which we can store in an ice chest, unfortunately we will not have access to a freezer or microwave.

Admission per camper will be $300 for Monday June 14-Friday June 18th from 9am-4pm.

Snacks and water will be available for the kids at all times.

Our suggested age range for campers is 7-12 years old. If our full-week spots do not fill up, we will put single day registration for sale.

To register we will require a $50 non-refundable deposit and the remainder of your payment will be due 14 days before camp begins.

Payment options will include check or Paypal. Click here to visit our website with more information.

Please call (337) 371-7455 or email us at schoolhousesafari@gmail.com to book your child's spot! Space is limited!
