I would like to say I came up with this week’s health hack on my own, but the idea is actually
complements of Kim Komando! Did you know that you have this super cool/free app on your iPhone
called Medical ID? Medical ID is easily accessed during emergencies - even when your phone has a
locked screen. Important medical information such as your name, age, weight, allergies, medical
conditions, medications, blood type, and even an emergency contact are all readily available.
Not a fan of the iPhone? There is also a free android version of the Medical ID app available for
download in the Google Play Store. With school back in session, it is time to do some homework. I urge
you to load each of your family members’ phones with this vital information. Hopefully the app never
has to be used, but if it does emergency personnel will be thankful for your proactivity!
