At Macaroni Kid we absolutely love trying out new local businesses and that is exactly what we had the opportunity to do for my sons 8th birthday party. Every other day I come across parents asking for new ideas on places to hold birthday parties. Because Cajun Fast Track is not located on the beaten path (it is in Henderson) it may not be the first place to come to mind but after our visit I will say it should be! It is truly a wonderland for kids and parents alike. The facility is large, clean, bright, and full of fun.
To begin we went to the party room and waited for all of our guests to arrive. The room had plenty of chairs and tables and was air conditioned perfectly. The party hostess was attentive and was on top of providing everything we could have needed. The pizza came out about 20 minutes after our arrival and was delicious. We had a steady flow of drinks and the utensils, plates, and cups were are all provided. Of course the kids were really excited to get to the play area so they ate their pizza and cake at record speed and watched Caleb open his presents in a hurry as well.
The first bit of fun was watching Caleb in the ticket blowing machine which is an activity reserved for the birthday guests. All of his friends were laughing and yelling at him telling him how to get more tickets. I have to say we all giggled a good bit here. After that all the kids were given a card with four activities and $10 in arcade play. Everything is kept on the card which makes organizing simple. I would suggest bringing a lanyard if your child has a habit of misplacing items.
The attractions were our favorite part and they include putt putt (indoors), go karts (outside but covered), bumper cars (our favorite), an XD Theater, and laser tag. I should mention there is also a Tot Spot. We did not take advantage of this area as the kids were a bit to old but it's nice to know it's there so when little's are in tow. I want to elaborate on the bumper cars as they are actually called Spin Zone Bumper Cars. My husband and I were amazed watching the kids having a blast and laughing so hard as they rammed into each other. The cars actually spin like crazy and they look like they are gliding across the floor. The handles are easy for the kids to use and when it's time to start the main lights go off and the music comes on while dance party lights flicker all around. This attraction alone is worth the drive! The go karts are extremely comfortable and a smooth fast ride, I actually had to use the brakes when taking corners which is not something I usually do on go karts, haha. Laser tag is another great attraction and can be watched on TV screens outside the playing area. Each laser tag game is 15 minutes long which is a significant amount of time to wear yourself out taking down your opponents.
Since having Caleb's birthday party at Cajun Fast Track we have recommended them to a few other families for an afternoon of family fun. Each one of these families was just as excited about being there as we were! I will not be surprised in December when my oldest asks to have his party at Cajun Fast Track as well.
