The Sunset Garden Club will be hosting their 22nd Annual Sunset Herb & Garden Festival on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the festival grounds on Marie Street. The gates will open from 8:00am-4:00pm. The rain date will be May 6, 2018.
The festival is a great opportunity to step outside with your kids, friends, or even spend an afternoon with Dad and Mom, especially with Mother’s Day just around the corner. Vendors specialize in a variety of plants and can answer your questions about growing and cultivation. These include hibiscus, grasses, fruit trees, bromeliads, orchids, ferns, succulents, roses, and more. Master Gardeners are also on site and will present informative presentations with time for a Q&A. There will be vendors selling a variety of yard art, patio crafts, and herbal bath and body products. First-timers should know that plants go fast! The saying is true; the early bird gets the worm. You may also want to bring a wagon to store plants and items while you shop.
After you work up an appetite visiting each booth, be sure to stop by the food court for a variety of delicious eats and refreshments, including Roy’s Lemonade. After, visit the Sunset Garden Club Members booth for homemade desserts, sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
The celebration isn't just for adults! The Kid's Corner features fun jumps, face-painting, and other engaging activities. Kids can also visit the fairy garden or meet some of the bee-keepers or agricultural vendors on site.
The Sunset Herb & Garden Festival is held the first Saturday in May every year. Funds raised by this annual event are used for town beautification projects facilitated by the Sunset Garden Club.
