The Hunt is On! (Local Egg Hunt Listings)

It’s that wonderful time of year again.  Spring is just starting, Lent is coming to an end, and the Easter bunny is coming around to spread joy to all the families.  Join our Macaroni Kid family and celebrate with us at these events around Acadiana. Click on the hyperlinked words for more information about each event. 


Vermilionville will be hosting their own Spring Celebration on March 17th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $5 per person. The Spring Celebration will include a day full of traditional Easter fun along with live music, crafts, egg dying, face painting, egg contest, and village animals for guest to meet.


Zoosiana will be having their annual EggstravaganZoo.  March 17th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and March 18th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Along with the Easter egg hunt, there will be candy stations, face painting, sand stations, and Easter necklace making.  Make sure to buy your tickets in advance. Tickets are $9.25 for 3 to 12 year olds, $13.75 for 12 to 54 year olds, and $12.50 for seniors.


New Iberia City Park will have their community Easter egg hunt on March 17th.  The Easter Bunny and Blessing the Bear will be there for pictures starting at 10 a.m.


Avery Island will have their Easter egg hunt on March 24th.  The event is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the hunt starting at 1 p.m. Tickets are $8 per person which includes entrance to Jungle Gardens, egg hunt for multiple ages, meet and greet with the Easter bunny, a petting zoo, and family fun games.  


Thomas Park here in Lafayette will have their own free Easter celebration on March 24th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.  They will have games, face painting, arts and crafts, an Easter egg hunt, and the Easter bunny to take pictures with.  For more information, call 291-8370 or 291-5553.


Cajun Harley Davidson is hosting an Easter egg hunt on March 24th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the Easter bunny. 


Cajun Vendor Showcase featuring Spring Market on March 24th 9 am - 3 pm at the Carencro Sports Complex. There will be egg hunts, pictures with the Easter bunny, characters, fun jumps, face-painting and shopping!


Easter Family Fun Day on March 24th from 10 am - 2 pm at Cafe 329 on Dulles Drive. Easter egg dying, hunts, races, pictures with the Easter Bunny, face painting and more. Brought to you by the Bayou Demons Lafayette. 


Easter Egg Hunt and Activities at The Children's Museum of Acadiana on March 25th beginning at 2pm! - Coloring contest, crafts, games, and more. 


The Bayou Church will have their Spring Picnic on March 25th.   The start for the Easter egg hunt begins at 4:15 p.m. for kids from birth to 5th grade with over 10,000 eggs to hunt for.  The event is open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for all families to go out and enjoy games, live music, petting zoo, pony rides, and food trucks.  This event is free to all.


Easter Egg Hunt & Visit the Easter Bunny on March 31st from 10 am - 12 pm at Big Boy Toys & Hobbies (2930 Johnston St.) - for ages 12 and under, face painting offered and one lucky participant will find the golden egg!


Easter Egg Hunt at the Lafayette Jockey Lot Flea Market on March 31st beginning at 11 am - games and prizes will also be offered. 


18th Annual City Wide Easter Egg Hunt at Heymann Park Center from 11 am - 5 pm. Other family fun activities included!
