Southern Screen presents The Goonies drive-in movie screening at Moncus Park! When two brothers find out they might lose their house they are desperate to find a way to keep their home. They find a treasure map and bring some friends along to find it. They are all out looking for the "X" and trying to get away from a group of bad guys who also want the treasure.
The event starts at 5:30PM with yard games, cold drinks and food trucks. The screening of the movie will begin at 7:30PM. This will be an authentic drive-in movie experience, complete with jumbo screen and tune-in car radio audio. There will also be outdoor speakers for attendees who would rather walk-in and sit at the front of the screen on the lawn. All attendees should bring a picnic blanket and lawn chair in case drive-in parking spots sell out. Arrive early if you plan to drive in, and please leave your pets and ice chests at home. Great food options from local food trucks Olympic Grove, The Bus Stop Food Truck, Taco Sisters, Blanchard’s and Kona Ice. Tickets will be sold at the event: Cars: $20 and Walk-ins: $5. Proceeds will benefit Southern Screen. We’ll see you at the Drive-In!
