Louisiana’s most famous and longest running rodeo is returning to Lafayette! The 2020 Mid-Winter Fair Rodeo is coming back to the Blackham Coliseum on Thursday, January 9 – Sunday, January 12
The world’s best rodeo athletes will compete for cash prizes in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronco riding, tie-down and team roping, barrel racing and bull riding.

Stick Horse Rodeo for Kids!
The Mid Winter Fair Rodeo will offer a special event just for kids ages 0-10 only. This event is hosted on Sunday, January 11th at 10:00 am. with registration beginning at 9:30 am at Ranch Outlet.
What is a "Stick Horse Rodeo" you ask? Well its just that. Kids ages 0-10 compete on stick horses in actual simulated rodeo events just like the Big Guys! The Stick Horse Rodeo has Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Pole Bending and Barrel Racing. Kids compete in their respective age group (0-4 and 5-10) for trophies to top ten in each event. Ribbons to all contestants as well as a rodeo ticket to the Sunday afternoon performance.
Entry fees for the Stick Horse Rodeo are $7 per event entered. Entries will be taken from 9:30 am to 10 am. You can call 318-787-4790 for more information.
