Drowning is one of the leading causes of death in young children; our number one priority in the lessons program is water safety and respect for the water. We are passionate to teach your child to swim!
-We teach basic lifesaving skills, swimming skills and technical stroke skills (as a swimmer progresses).
-We use a progressive teaching format set in a motivational and enjoyable setting.
-Spring and Summer registration opens mid-January each year. Register Early!
-Each Session is 8 classes, 40 minutes each, Monday-Thursday for 2 consecutive weeks.
-Ratio of 3-4 for beginner level swimmers and 4-5 swimmers per instructor for the more advanced swimmers (level 4 and higher).
-Lessons Director & Supervisors on deck. Lifeguard on deck. Instructors are CPR certified.
-Classes are organized by age and ability.
-We utilize the entire indoor pool and sometimes our outdoor pool for each lesson class, therefore we take all ages (3+) and skill levels at each time slot.
Summer and Year Round Swim Team
Crawfish Aquatics is also a member of USA Swimming and offers year round competitive swimming for ages four years and older. As a member of this national organization all of our members are insured and our daily practices are monitored and supervised by USA Swimming Certified coaches. Our training is divided into small groups with a professional staff member assigned to each group. We offer several different groups that are organized by age, ability and physical maturity. Our swimmers compete on a regular schedule approved by Louisiana Swimming Inc. Our team hosts several home competitions and will travel locally, regionally and nationally to provide appropriate competition for all of our members.
