A Very Curley Christmas will be the ultimate kick-off for the Merry & Bright holiday series, presented by Coca-Cola, in Downtown Lafayette. Enjoy the music of Curley Taylor and Zydeco Trouble amidst a winter wonderland in Downtown!

This family-friendly concert will take place in Parc International which will be decked out in Christmas cheer for the month of December. The Parc will be decorated as the “North Pole of Downtown” with lights, giant ornaments, a grove of living Christmas trees, and the 24 foot-tall Lafayette Christmas tree. The concert will also feature the official lighting of the Lafayette Christmas tree.

A Very Curley Christmas is part of Downtown Lafayette Unlimited’s Merry & Bright Christmas in Downtown. Merry & Bright is a full season of holiday events, and installations in Downtown Lafayette—including a Christmas tree decorating contest, artist-curated window displays, a holiday art market, a candlelight caroling night, and much more.

This concert will be similar to a Downtown Alive! concert, with $10/person entry for all ages to enjoy the music. The Parc gates will open at 5:00 PM, the Lighting of the Tree will take place at 5:45, and the music begins at 6:00 PM. Our organization is able to provide these events thanks to sponsorships and beverages sales, so make sure you leave the ice chests at home and grab a cup of hot chocolate or an adult beverage from the event.

All COVID-19 mandates — including social distancing, requiring masks, and limiting event attendance capacity — will be in place. If updated protocols prevent public gatherings, A Very Curley Christmas will be live-streamed from the Downtown Lafayette Facebook page. Currently, Downtown Lafayette plans to move forward with all events as scheduled
