🎁 Meet the Landers Family

Leah and Shane Landers—along with their two little ones (a 3-year-old and an almost18-month-old)—have turned their love for Christmas light hunting into a community-wide gift.

Years ago, long before kids, Leah challenged Shane to drive around and look at Christmas lights every night from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Shane, a certified Christmas lights fan, agreed immediately because… happy wife, happy life, right? 😉

That first year, they shared about a dozen of their favorite homes with friends on Facebook. Over time, the tradition continued on and off—until last year, when they revived their list and opened it up to the public.

They quickly learned that many local families were searching for exactly what they were creating. After posting a “call for lights,” interest took off—and suddenly they were driving three to four hours every night with a toddler and a baby in tow. The dedication paid off: the 2024 list ended with over 70 addresses across Lafayette, Broussard, and Youngsville.

Their mission is simple and beautiful:
To help families make holiday memories without spending much at all.

Warmly,
Shane & Leah Landers
(P.S. Their littlest, Bubba—who turns 18 months on Christmas Day—didn’t have much input this year, but we’re pretty sure he approves.)
