Lafayette Public Library invites everyone to join us for the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge, beginning next week!
The theme this year is Color Our World, and the goal is to read at least 20 minutes every day between May 26 and July 31. All reading counts, including books, graphic novels, magazines, newspapers, and audiobooks. Even reading to a non-reader counts!
To mark the start of the challenge, the library is throwing a Kickoff Celebration on Saturday, June 7, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Main Library.
Families are invited to enjoy a day of fun activities, including a fun jump, petting zoo, balloon artists, face painting, and live performances from Mitch the Magician, who will perform at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Families can also sign up for the challenge at the kickoff celebration.
Participants can register and track their progress online using Beanstack at lafayettepubliclibrary.org/beanstack<https://lafayettepubliclibrary.beanstack.org/reader365>. Paper reading logs are also available at any library location.
Reading for 30 days earns a participant a prize pack and a chance to win the grand prize. Participants who reach 50 days of reading earn a bonus prize and an extra entry in the grand prize drawing. Prizes will be available for pickup at any library location starting June 24.
