Children’s Corner at the Farmer’s Market

Looking for Christmas gifts? Come to the Children’s Corner at the Farmer’s Market at Moncus Park Saturday, Nov. 17. Local children’s book authors will be signing, selling, and reading books. Featured authors Carol Stubbs and Nancy Rust will be signing copies of “A Louisiana Christmas: Heritage Recipes and Hometown Celebrations” and “What’s Watching Me? and Other Animal Stories.” 

“A Louisiana Christmas” is a book for all seasons. It includes recipes from home cooks, chefs, and restaurants, children’s activities, menu plans, a Christmas event listing, as well as fun facts about Louisiana Pick up several copies to give as gifts. The books are great for out of town guests, housewarming gifts, to cheer up a friend, or just inspire someone to have a joyeux noel!

“What’s Watching Me? and Other Animal Stories” is a book for elementary to middle grade readers—or anyone who loves animals. There are ten short stories about different animals: cats, dogs, burros, a sea turtle, and more. Each of the stories includes facts about the animal featured. 

Join us at the Farmer’s Market during the holidays. The Children’s Corner will be there Saturday, Nov. 17, Dec. 8 and Dec. 15. The Children’s Corner at the Farmer’s Market is hosted by Acadiana Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Bring the kids to hear stories, to support local authors, and to enjoy fun activities.
