Stuck Inside Science

By Lindsey Tripp - Macaroni Kid Content Contributor April 4, 2018

Stuck at home? Yep, we all are! Well we got a fun inside science project you can do to entertain your children.  The kids can easily do this with your guidance.  You probably already have the ingredients in your home especially since Easter is right around the corner.  All you need is a clear cup/jar, baby oil, food coloring, water, and a dropper (or medicine syringe).

Start by filling up a few cups with water.  Add food coloring until you reach the color you want.  Then fill a clear cup or jar with baby oil.  Once you have all the cups filled, you take the dropper (or old medicine syringes) and suck up some of the colored water.  Slowly push the water into the oil and watch the colors dance their way to the bottom.

My three year old did this by himself with me instructing him.  He had a blast for hours. I hope you guys will enjoy it just as much as we did.
