The Real Story of Christmas - A Broadway Style Musical

Free Event!

November 18, 2021

Where can you see all of your favorite Christmas stories come to life in a way that is centered around the true story of Christmas? Crossroads Church is where! The Real Story of Christmas returns by popular demand and is quickly become one of Lafayette’s most-anticipated holiday traditions for families from all around. A Broadway-style musical, the show is a lively, interactive event with a powerful message for the whole family.

Grace Doll is a misfit toy who feels discarded and broken. As Santa’s helpers try to cheer her up, Santa and Mrs. Claus tell a stage full of dancing and singing elves some of the best-loved stories of Christmas. From Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer to The Night Before Christmas and even The “Cajun” Twelve Days of Christmas, these stories come alive in a way that has everyone laughing and singing along.

The climax of the show is when Santa and Mrs. Claus call for the REAL story of Christmas to be told and live camels and sheep are ushered in to bring their gifts and adoration to the baby Jesus. After the show, families are invited to join Santa and Mrs. Claus on stage and have their pictures taken with them and all the elves—free of charge!

The Real Story of Christmas is a FREE event and will be held on December 9th through December 12th with eight different showtimes to choose from.
