LARC’s Acadian Village Hosts Talent Competition during Summer Carniv

LARC’s Acadian Village will host its 3rd annual Summer Carnival fundraiser on August 1-3 to benefit the LARC organization. A talent competition, with categories for youth (ages 5-17) and adults (18+) will be held August 2 at 5 p.m. All talents, such as vocal, instrumental, dance, theater, variety, etc, are welcome. A trio of judges will award first, second and third prizes to the winners in each category. Competitors must register in advance for $30. “The talent competition is a highlight of Summer Carnival and something we look forward to every year. We appreciate the public’s support of this event and are excited to host this family-oriented event,” said Glenn Weber, Executive Director for LARC. The Summer Carnival will be held on August 1 & 2 from 4-10 p.m. and August 3 from 12-4 p.m. at LARC’s Acadian Village. Admission prices are $5 per adult, $3 per child and children 4 and under get in free. All activities and concessions are additional cost. Summer Carnival will feature activities for adults and children of all ages including carnival rides, wet slide fun jumps, face painting, a photo booth, dunking booth, arts and crafts, petting zoo, live entertainment and more.
