New semi-annual consignment and vendor sale coming to Lafayette in the fall!

The Women and Little One's Market wants to announce the launch of their 1st semi-annual women and children's consignment and vendor sale coming to Lafayette this October.  We are now accepting vendors, consignors, and volunteers until September 1st. The sale benefits families in the area by providing them with a focused sale where they can earn cash for their outgrown and unwanted women and children's items, and save money on newer or gently-used items. There is a strong commitment to quality as items brought into the sale are carefully screened to make sure they are clean, in good condition, and in working order.

It's so much easier and a lot less hassle than trying to set up a yard sale weekend after weekend. Consignors have a better chance in selling items because the sale is focused with shoppers who are looking specifically for women and children's items and there is no haggling with the prices, rummaging in random piles of merchandise looking for what they need. As everything is always very organized, categorized, and clearly labeled by size, gender and merchandise group. We will also have some wonderful vendor booths set up for the public to purchase products from independent consultants to handmade craft booths! Don't forget to stop by the booths, our vendors will be giving away wonderful prizes! If you are interested in a vendor booth, the price is $40 for a 10x10 space.

This is a can't miss sale, great for Christmas shopping!! In addition to our fall/winter sale, we are offering a holiday shopping section. Items for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentines, and Mardi gras will be accepted!

We will provide the promotion to attract shoppers and consignors throughout the area. Consignors prepare their items and set their own prices. They will receive 60% of their sales. We have volunteer times you can choose from if you are interested in earning more of a percentage or would just like to shop early at our pre-sale, if you are not a consignor. We have designated drop-off times for consignors, please see website for specific times.

Our sale is a great way for women and parents to organize the excess and turn it into cash. It also provides a second life and sometimes more life to the items that would just normally be filling up our landfills, certainly an excellent way to recycle. As a futher service, families can designate which of their unsold items can go directly to charities. Following the sale, donations are given to local organizations and charities who distribute to specific families designated as those who would benefit greatly from the items. We will have Operation Christmas Child boxes and Toys for Tots dropbox for the public to donate. The public will also have a chance to give back to the community by purchasing raffle tickets for a gift basket of goodies from our vendors. The proceeds will go to a local organization.

Event hours are from Saturday, October 11th Pre-sale for consignors and volunteers will start at 11am. Public can shop at 4pm for our early bird sale $5 admission fee. We will close at 8pm.
